I get to come home tomorrow and I am sure happy. I had a great time doing training in Georgia but I want to get back home. I have learned a lot these past four weeks of training. I hope to put this things I have learned into action when I get back to the Springs. I am excited to see where this job brings me. I have made a lot of business contacts here in Georgia but also I have made a lot of friends. I will miss them but it is time to get home.
Hope all my Flights Go Well,

Go Dawgs

Yesterday I got to experience an SEC college football game. We drove a hour and a half to get to Athens, Georgia to see the University of Georgia play Central Michigan. UGA is currently ranked 2nd in the nation and they did not disappoint with a score of 56-17. The Sanford stadium holds over 92,000 people and is the fifth largest on campus stadium in the NCAA. Sure was different than a football game at UNC. I had a ton of fun and here are some more pictures and a short video.
Thanks,

Jessica Simpson, HP Ad, and Soldiers

Well I was in the airport yesterday and I saw three things that stopped me. First thing I saw was an ad for HP servers and storage. I had not seen an ad for any of the products that I will be selling in my job. i thought it was weird that the first one I saw was in the Colorado Springs airport. I hope that HP starts doing more advertisements in airports. I think that this is a great place to hit businesses.
Next, I saw Jessica Simpson in the Dallas airport. I was standing in the line to get on my plane. I looked up and I saw a good looking blond girl on a transport cart. She was looking down at he cellphone. I admit that I was starring. She looked up and was surprised and said hi. Then she rode off. Somebody said that it was Jessica Simpson and then I put two and two together.
Finally, the most important thing I saw was when I was in the Chilis in the Dallas airport. There was two soldiers sitting behind me. When they asked for the check somebody had already paid for it. I really think that this is a gesture that says a lot. Even if you don't support the war you still need to respect and thank our soldiers. I still think in a politically torn society people still have support for our soldiers.

World of Coke

So yesterday we did not have training. So we went into downtown Atlanta and we checked out the CNN center and the World of Coke. Both were very cool and interesting. We did not do the tour of the CNN center but we did take the tour at the World of Coke. They had over 60 different flavors of pop from around the world. This was a very cool experience to see how Coke has developed their brand world wide. This week we have training on HP products. I think that this will be very helpful and will aid in our job. I will soon try to get up pictures and a video.
Thanks, WillyD

$1.99 Breakfast and it Just Got Better
Today was my first day of work. So it started off with a $1.99 breakfast and it only got better from there. Then we got our badges and got to meet everyone. I feel that we have a very strong team here in Colorado Springs. I even learned that there is 4 people that were hired from UNC. About 70% of the group had been working since June. The others had started last week. Rich and I were last to start. So we got the accelerated program. We got our laptops and our travel arrangements to Atlanta for training. Only 6 of us will be going to Atlanta for training.
We still have not finished moving into to our house. Tomorrow I will try to post some pictures or maybe a video .of what our house looks like.

Back in the Blog Business
Welcome everybody,
I have been inspired by the blog I created for my trip to Paris and I have deiced to create another. No, this is not another trip to Paris or some vacation blog but a blog about my journey as I start to embark on a career. This Monday I start a job with Hewlett Packard in Colorado Springs. I am nervous and excited on the journey I am taking. I plan for this blog to bring people along for the ride and show what it is like to be recent college graduate in the field of marketing. I will try to keep you updated through postings, pictures, and everyone's favorite videos. Look for posts in the near future as I start first week of "real" work. Always remember comments are greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
WillyD
